Hear From Leaders on Children's Exposure to Violence

On 4/16/07, Terry Mason, M.D., F.A.S.C., then Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Public Health, convened a cadre a local government officials and executive staff to begin a process of rethinking the public health approach to physical and mental health issues.

The conference was titled “Toward A Healthy Future: A Public Health Paradigm for Physical and Mental Health” and was held in Chicago, Illinois.

The audience heard key presentations from Drs. Vincent Felitti, David Satcher, Carl Bell, and William Beardslee, national experts on health and mental health.
